By Serena Beck
Colin and I left Ang, Reg, and Emily's in Kelowna at 10:00 AM this morning. I managed to take a video of two fighter jets flying over the Kelowna bridge while we rode over it.
We rode to Meritt B.C. where we stopped for lunch at Tim Hortons. It was a sunny, clear, cloudless day and we enjoyed an excellent view of the mountains. The mountain wind was quite strong and unpredictable. It tossed us back and forth and pushed our shoulders left, right, then left and right again in a Tae Bo jabbing frenzy.
We went through one tunnel, but I wasn't fast enough to capture a video of the experience. However, I did take a picture of the tunnel. We rode the Coquihalla toll highway ($5.00 for a motorcycle) and Colin cruised at an unmentionaly fast speed, but managed to avoid the police ghost cars that were waiting to catch people.
We arrived in Surrey at 3:45 PM to visit Kathy, Peter, Jennie, Derek, and Gavin. We're going to head to Crescent Beach tomorrow for a nice non-riding (and bum resting) day of visiting.
