We packed up our campsite today and said our goodbyes to our new friends. We headed to Daisy's wildflower Cafe for omelette wraps and bagels and we were on the road by 10:30 AM. We took our second free ferry across part of Arrow Lake (near Fauquier). We stopped half way to Vernon for a greasy lunch complete with milkshakes at the Gold Pan Cafe. I fell asleep once after lunch, but no I didn't fall off the bike. I leaned slightly to the left and then woke up when my helmet collided with Colin's helmet.
It was a long slightly cool but precipitation free day of riding. We arrived in Vernon at 4:00 PM and arrived at Ang, Reg and Emily's at 5:00 PM. We went out for a lovely Greek meal with them and enjoyed a sunny Kelowna evening in good company. We're also going to enjoy a comfy soft sleep in a bed with real pillows (we slept with blow up pillows while we were camping). Well I'm going back to visit now and we're off to the beach tomorrow.
